Hello WayNation Team, there is incredible ministry going on all around us. I wanted to share this very personal and tangible story from Brian Driver in Charleston:
For months we had been receiving donations from a prisoner at one of the local Federal Penitentiaries. Eventually, we received a letter identifying the prisoner saying he listens to us at the prison and that he had been sending the money. He was hoping that we could help his aging mother who had no car and had to walk to work with a bicycle. I purchased a bicycle and went to the address he gave us about 2 hours away, but there was nobody there. Just abandoned mobile homes in the middle of nowhere.
I was able to find a way to communicate with the inmate through the prison and he told me that letter had been sent months prior and prison mail is slow. His mom had been forced to move in with his sister in Columbia and still needed a bike to get to work and back. This time he shared with me her phone number. I arranged to meet her up at her work one afternoon and was able to deliver the bike to her finally. The day I delivered the bike the temperature was 99 degrees and she had been walking two miles in both directions every day. She was crying when I brought the bike to her and now can get to and from work in about 5 minutes.
God is using many of us at WayFM to bless people’s lives. Thank you, Brian! And thank you to the many untold stories around the network who are making Jesus known in our markets!
